The new publication is Confession of a Buddhist Atheist. Stephen Batchelor is a brilliant and elegant writer in Buddhism Without Beliefs, Living with the Devil: A Meditation on Good and Evil, and his most recent Confession of a Buddhist Atheist. Its author, Stephen Batchelor, is at the vanguard of attempts to forge an authentically western Buddhism. Enjoying reading Stephen's autobiography. €�In Pali, Mara means “the killer”. Part confessional, part travel log, but largely a riveting and entertaining analysis of what the Buddha actually said. Stephen Batchelor has recently written a particularly interesting book, Confessions of a Buddhist Atheist. At the end of his book Confession of a Buddhist Atheist, Stephen Batchelor speaks about a secular religion, a beliefless practice, although he understands the contradictory nature of the terms.
